They demonstrated that they practiced and valued this art form by using tiles to decorate the architectural works in the areas where they lived. We can gain a better understanding of the principality's tile art and the techniques employed by examining the tile works applied to the architectural structures of the era. Among the principality's architectural works, the Kazımkarabekir Grand Mosque's tiles are a significant representation of the era's traits. The research focused on the tiles of the Kazımkarabekir Grand Mosque, particularly the hexagonal tiles in the mihrab border section. These tiles have drawn attention because they do not match the mihrab's tiles in terms of consistency. They were created using various techniques, such as underglaze and luster, and are not present in contemporary architectural designs. The study examines if these tiles are original to the building considering their patterns, mounting method, and hexagon shape, which are different from the mosaic tiles forming the mihrab. Furthermore, an analysis was conducted on the Kazımkarabekir Grand Mosque's architectural design, the hexagonal tile shape and patterns on their surfaces, the symbolic significance of the patterns, and the methods employed. To gain a deeper understanding of hexagonal tiles, comparable tiles manufactured in various eras were found, compared, and their visuals analyzed.
2024-12-15T00:00:00+03:00Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Art, Fashion, Music and Designhttps://www.artdergi.com/index.php/art/article/view/26ADANA KENTİNDE ERİŞİLEBİLİR KENTSEL OTURMA ELEMANLARI TASARIMINA YÖNELİK BİR DEĞERLENDİRME 2024-09-09T18:51:13+03:00Gözde Altıparmakoğlu Sakaryagaltiparmakoglu@cu.edu.tr
Bu çalışma, Adana'da bulunan kentsel oturma elemanlarının erişilebilirlik açısından incelenmesini amaçlamaktadır. Textile industries consume large amounts of water. Textile industries consume large amounts of water. Textile chemical dyes are mixed with waste water and cause serious environmental problems. Also, due to the large-scale production of ready-made garments in factories, a lot of fabric becomes waste during the fabric cutting phase. Usually waste fabrics are removed from the production cycle and cause environmental pollution. Due to all these problems, designers and textile companies are making efforts to produce sustainable and ecological textiles. In this study, the fabrics discarded from factories and private workshops were collected and dyed with beet root in order to make them reusable, and they were brought back into the production cycle with bindle and shopping bag models. Natural colors were used instead of harmful chemical colors to dye the collected fabrics. Two different methods were compared in dyeing application. Recycling of waste fabrics and natural dyeing benefit the environment by reusing textiles.
2024-12-15T00:00:00+03:00Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Art, Fashion, Music and Designhttps://www.artdergi.com/index.php/art/article/view/34Cittaslow Cities: Redefining Urban Life Through Local Values and Design2024-11-01T00:18:59+03:00Sevtap Sarıcasevtapsarica.0@gmail.comMehmet Özkartalozkartal1968@hotmail.com
In today's fast-paced world, the complexity and fast pace of life wears many people out. At this point, Cittaslow; namely, calm city dwellers, becomes a haven for those seeking peace. Slow cities attract attention not only with their harmony with nature, but also with their local culture, production and cuisine. In these unique cities, every moment is an experience, every corner offers a story. Slow cities develop important projects for the protection of nature. These projects are not limited to only environmentally friendly practices, but also encourage sustainable lifestyles. Effective use of local growth, waste management and energy saving are part of the parts that these cities are stored. While these cities benefit from the advantage of living in touch with nature, they also become a part of environmental awareness.

This article study continues to examine the role of comprehensive design in preserving and developing the original features of Cittaslow cities by taking a broad perspective within the scope of Cittaslow. Slow city, as a movement to develop a wide geography, prioritizes local, environmentally friendly practices and social solidarity. In this context, it will be evaluated how flexible and effective a tool design can be in emphasizing the systems and sustainability of Cittaslow cities. The article will focus on how design modules can support the unique characteristics of these cities and how they can encourage the participation of local communities; In addition, the potential of cities to provide sustainable contributions by integrating design in line with Slow City principles will be investigated. Meanwhile, the contributions of design to the clarification of Cittaslow and the permanence of these values in social memory will be discussed in detail.
2024-12-15T00:00:00+03:00Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Art, Fashion, Music and Designhttps://www.artdergi.com/index.php/art/article/view/36THE GREAT LOSSES OF CONTEMPORARY TURKISH PAINTING: THE ARTISTIC LEGACY AND INFLUENCE OF ZAFER GENÇAYDIN, HALIL AKDENIZ, MEHMET GÜLERYÜZ, AND MUSTAFA AYAZ2024-12-07T02:27:45+03:00Uğur Özenuozen40@gmail.com
The year 2024 has been marked in history as the year when four significant figures in Contemporary Turkish Painting were lost. Research was carried out on twenty houses among the registered buildings positioned along the city's main route, which are located on the sightseeing route for visitors and were inhabited by the prominent figures of the city. The originality of these houses was evaluated by 10 experts who has conducted scientific studies on Kemaliye houses, Traditional Turkish houses, and originality in architecture. The evaluation form created within the scope of the Analytic Hierarchy Process used in the study was filled out by faculty members from architecture and cultural heritage preservation and restoration departments, architects involved in restoration practices, employees from the Erzurum Regional Directorate of Cultural Heritage Preservation, and local craftsmen involved in restoration work in the region. The findings from these forms were analyzed by using fuzzy logic analysis methods, and the originality values of the houses were converted into numerical data. The method used allowed for the integrated analysis of the opinions of a large number of people rather than those of a single individual. As a result of the study, significant findings were reached concerning the preservation of the originality of traditional houses in the Kemaliye region, which is listed on UNESCO's tentative heritage list, and their transfer to future generations.
2024-12-15T00:00:00+03:00Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Art, Fashion, Music and Designhttps://www.artdergi.com/index.php/art/article/view/27GÖRSEL SANATLAR EĞİTİMİNDE YETENEK ve BECERİ KAVRAMI2024-09-09T18:51:41+03:00tuğba uzun gediklitugba_uzun_355@outlook.comAbdullah AYAYDINAbdullahayaydın3@gmail.com
ABSTRACT

Art is an integral part of individual development. The necessity of art education has been addressed in many

ways from the past to the present. At every stage of education, students have the opportunity to acquire, through art, cognitive, sensory and psychomotor skills as well as the ability to express themselves, to think creatively and to communicate these creative thoughts in a tangible way. The influence of the visual arts course on the formation and development of these skills in students is undeniably important. Visual arts education aims to develop creative thinking, problem-solving, the ability to express feelings and thoughts, practical thinking, and aesthetics rather than talent and skill. Students who are talented according to their age are qualified to contribute to the development of the community. In most cases, we can consider the notions of talent and skill as a key concept in the field of visual arts, as we can view unchecked and neglected talented students as a loss. To this end, the study aims to examine the concept of talent and skill in visual arts education, using the views of students studying in the section of fine arts education. The case study was designed in the quality research approach. The research will be carried out on a voluntary basis with 10 students studying at the Department of Fine Arts Education at the University of Trabzon. The study used a semi-constructed conversation technique as a data collection tool. The resulting interviews were recorded with the audio recorder and then transmitted into written text. The data was analyzed using the content analysis method and presented in tables, divided into themes and categories.

Keywords: Art, Art Education, Visual Arts, Talent, Skill
2024-12-15T00:00:00+03:00Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Art, Fashion, Music and Designhttps://www.artdergi.com/index.php/art/article/view/25Expert Opinions on the Impact of Russian Romances on the Development of Singing Students in Turkey2024-09-09T18:50:44+03:00Furkan Aktakkafaktakka@anadolu.edu.tr
This study examines the role of Russian romances in vocal education in Turkey and assesses their impact on the technical and musical development of vocal students. Russian romances, which draw upon a rich and venerable Russian musical tradition and literature, have the potential to play a significant role in expanding the musical expression, technical skills, and cultural understanding of vocal students. It is assumed that these compositions are not sufficiently known or studied by vocal students in Turkey. The research therefore scrutinizes the possible reasons for this deficiency and explores why vocal students and instructors should engage more frequently with Russian romances. The study was conducted between the years 2011-2012 and employed a snowball sampling method to select 10 vocal instructors with at least 10 years of vocal training experience. Half of the selected instructors are full-time faculty members teaching vocal lessons at conservatories, while the other half comprises artists who are permanent members of the State Opera and Ballet but also teach vocal lessons at various conservatories as guest instructors. The findings from the interviews, observations, and literature review suggest that Russian romances should be included in conservatory curricula and that vocal education approaches should diversify to incorporate compositions in this form. The analysis of the interviewees’ statements indicates that this approach would not only provide students and instructors with a broad musical perspective but also enhance their competitiveness on international stages.
2024-12-15T00:00:00+03:00Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Art, Fashion, Music and Design
